PREPARING THE HAIR SNAIR:
The Hair Snair Shower Drain Inserts are shipped flat. They must be rolled as follows:
1) Bend into tubular shape and mate bar pin into opposite pin socket.
2) Insert both tab "arrowheads" into mating loops on opposite side.
3) Pull both tabs through loops until arowheads clear loops.
EASY INSTALLATION:
NOTE: Install unused insert in clean drains only. If water drains slowly, remove obstruction before proceeding as follows.
1) Remove drain plate screws and lift plate from recess.
2) Clean debris from drain recess and center drain plate.
3) Verify insert ROLLED condition.
a) "Bars" are pin aligned and engaged securely.
b) Roll shape with tabs (2) fully engaged in loops.
c) Four layers with two (2) sets of four full splines.
4) Install new, unused insert.
5) Verify proper installation.
a) "Splines" touch pipe wall and deflect upward.
b) "Bars" retain insert at drain entry.
c) 2" maximum drain diameter.
6) Replace drain plate and screws. Plate must be firmly in place to avoid possible injury to bather.
REPLACEMENT:
When the Hair Snair Shower Drain Insert is in place, it retains hair and fibers, and gradually becomes full. When water drainage is too slow (or on a regular basis) replace used units with new inserts as outlined above. Once a month in a high traffic area, however quarterly seems to work in a normal situation.
